MURDEROUS takes place over the course of two seasons and follows the exploits  of an emerging female filmmaker--who has had a breakout hit with her first feature as she negotiates successive visits from very two different people who may know a lot more about her past and her work than she would ever want them (or the rest of the world) to know. By turns funny, chilling and deadly, this is a chamber piece in the grand tradition of ROPE, SLEUTH and DIAL ‘M’ FOR MURDER, keeping a tight reign on the actors and largely utilizing a single environment throughout its running time. Writer/director Neil LaBute uses his theatrical background to deftly move his players around a cinematic chessboard and toward a haunting yet satisfying conclusion.
