Screenwriting Program

We are proud to once again announce the Screenwriters Residency Program.

Since 2005, BIFF has aimed to connect auspicious writers with industry professionals in an intimate setting, allowing writers to receive first hand knowledge as well as establish lasting relationships with field experts. Four (4) fortunate applicants will be extended the incredible opportunity December 5- 8, 2016 in Harbour Island.

sports SPOTLIGHT

BIFF will showcase world class coaches, athletes and films that emphasize the spirit of sports worldwide. The program will select 3 Narrative and 3 Documentaries to be showcased throughout the film festival in December. Some of the world’s top professional athletes will be present to share their insight on the link of Sports and Film. Presented by Nine/8 Entertainment and BIFF.

POSTER COMPETITION OPEN 

As in years past, artists are challenged with capturing the very essence of the festival in a single artwork. 2016 BIFF Poster Call for Entry will be curated by BIFF and local artist curator Jodi Minnis.

Deadline: August 5

Regulations:

  • Content must be relative to film
  • Work must be no more than 24x30 inches
  • BIFF will have full ownership of the Poster 
  • All mediums are accepted
  • Submissions must include a 350 word bio and head shot of 300 dpi resolution
  • Entrant Fee: $5.00
